John and Edward are an Irish pop duo, often referred to as 'Jedward', comprising identical twins John and Edward Grimes. They first became known in 2009 when they auditioned for the sixth series of UK ITV television talent show, The X Factor.
They are currently appearing on ITV each Saturday and Sunday evening, and are being mentored by Louis Walsh. The other judges are Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue.
